The city of Thunder Bay and the town of Oakville will be experiencing an influx of creative leaders later this week as they play co-hosts to the 2016 Ontario Regional Meeting of the Creative City Network of Canada. This year’s gathering promises to delve into the intersection of the performing arts and municipalities from the perspective of those most involved in the rapidly growing creative industries sector; asking questions around the role of the performing arts in the ecology and economy of the creative city, and how we are to measure their impact.

As we continue to focus our own efforts on connecting the dots between creative players and the cities they live within, we’re excited to hear and learn from such speakers as the City of Kingston’s Cultural Director, Colin Wiginton and Brian McCurdy, Project Lead for Ontario Presents (to name but a few).

If you’re heading to the Oakville location, keep an eye out for our Business Development Manager, Andrew Amos who’s looking forward to connecting with like-minded aficionados of culture and the city.
