So many cool things…

April 7, 2011

We recently moved in to our new home at 150 Dufferin Ave. and have received a lot of new and cool things on the way!

Foosball

The first new addition to the office was the foosball table. Lunch hours will never be the same. Tune in from 12-1p.m. almost any day to catch all the fast paced action at foosball.rtraction.com

One of our designers, @CamLondono made an awesome custom poster for it. Thanks, Cam!

LEGO rtraction

Our next gift came from @allisonrinkel who made this colourful LEGO logo. Apparently Allison isn’t just an artist with makeup! (allisonrinkel.com)

AT-AT

One of the best things about London is the stong sense of community, we really appreciate this next gift that came from our digital media friends at Echidna. After two days of hard work…

… we accomplished the impossible! Thanks, Echidna!

As you may know, we were proud finalists in the London Chamber of CommerceBusiness Achievement Awards in March. Despite not winning at the BAA night, we presented an award to the partners as a way to say that rtraction is the Business of the Year in our eyes.David Billson, our fearless leader wrote a nice thank you post too, in case you missed it.

The Death Star

We held an Open House April 1st where we received even more incredible gifts…

… Like the Death Star

Thank you to Harrison Pensa for this awesome gift. The Death Star is the perfect hiding place for all our chocolate treats. They also provided us with plenty of geek candy including: unicorn meatbacon gumballs, onion ring and bacon mints, coffee cookies, crack heads, pizza and pb&j snacks. We will never go hungry or be tired again!

… and the Coin-Op

Thank you to Chris and his UberCoolStuff for this awesome gift and especially for the amazing hand-made card..

(Yes, that is our logo made out of Zombies!)

Uber Cool Stuff will have it’s grand opening April 30,2010 at The Met – we can’t wait!

Annoy-a-trons

… and the ThinkGeek Annoy-a-trons… Hold on a minute! These might need some explaining:

As the event came to and end, the DJ packed up his equipment and we started to clean. One of us noticed an odd and rather painful sounding Beep! The others heard no such thing and continued to clean, playing foos, talk and eat. Then it happened again, Beep! But this time, thankfully, others heard it too.
We immediately knew that one of our kind friends must have left us this magnanimous gift. Who could the kind-hearted and generous guests possibly have been? It was only a matter of time before we found out.

We began searching all over the office for the culprit, finally we found it! Hidden in a vent. We were successful. However our celebration was cut short with a simple Beep!

We were on the hunt again, found another behind the TV. After holding our breath (we’re quick learners here) we heard it again Beep! The third was under the foosball table.

Now expert in the art of hide and seek- we listened for the fourth. Triumphantly, we snatched the final Annoy-a-tron from the telescope. All in all it was a wonderful team-bonding experience, we really learned a lot about ourselves and our work ethic. So thank you, ResIM for the challenge.

And Game On!
