Every year, Vanier tries to make the holidays brighter for kids going through mental health challenges. Together with community partners, they run a holiday campaign that encourages cash, gift-card, and toy donations to help make the season merry. Vanier wanted help to push the campaign organically on social media and bring more attention to it this year in 2025, to reach more families than last year.

We approached the campaign in October with a goal in mind of trying to raise $10,000 organically. In 2024, Vanier raised $6,414.82.

October 1 to December 31, 2026
We began with a strategy that laid the foundations for future campaigns with a focus on growing the donor base. By setting up systems like Meta Fundraising and encouraging the use of growing segmented email marketing over time, Vanier will be better equipped to launch future digital fundraising campaigns.

We developed a content strategy that utilized organic social media posts with call to actions to donate. We also encouraged the sharing of grassroots efforts from community partners participating in toy drives, Tree of Dreams, and Toonies for Turkeys. We made sure to thank big donors and give special shout-outs.

On social platforms, we saw an increase in impressions, interactions, visits, and followers. Through the combined efforts of social media posts on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, a Meta fundraising campaign, Canada Helps, community outreach, emails, direct mailers, and nurturing community partnerships, Vanier was able to raise $6325.70 for the 2025 holiday campaign.

Even with charitable giving being on a decline in Canada, we hope that next year, with the increase in awareness and the new systems in place, Vanier will be one step closer to their goal of raising  $10,000 in 2026.
